Tamworth Barbeque Festival

The National Thunder Motorcycle Rally is back!

We are excited to welcome back the National Thunder Motorcycle Rally as part of the Tamworth Barbeque Festival.

Rally registration fee is $110 and includes entry to Tamworth Barbeque Festival along with a momento rally patch & pin and a Tamworth Barbeque Festival stubby holder. Rally fees also permit riders access  to guided rides and entry into bike specific activities such as the show & shine event and guided ride to Nundle.

Rally participants are also welcome to be part of the Thunder Run to be held on the morning on Sunday 29 September.

All bike brands welcome. Dedicated motorcycle parking, close to the event site, for rally participants.

Show & Shine

The Show & Shine will be held on the Saturday of the festival from 1pm to 3pm. When registering to attend the rally you can indicate your interest in entering the Show & Shine.

People's Choice Winner $100, Runner Up $60, Third Prize $40. 

Entry Fee

Free entry for anyone that registers for the National Thunder Motorcycle Rally.

$10 entry fee for anyone purchasing a Saturday day ticket or a 3-day pass to the Tamworth Barbeque Festival. 

Nundle Loop Guided Ride

Join this group guide ride to Nundle on Saturday 28 September. The ride departs at 9am and returns 11.30am. A stunning ride through the region.

Marhsall at the Tamworth Barbeque Festival Plain Street Carpark at 8.45am. Turn left onto Ebsworth Street, continue south along the New England Highway, turning left onto Garoo Road and Lindsays Gap Road, allowing 60 minutes to reach beautiful   Nundle.  A 30 minute stopover in Nundle for morning tea. Return to the Barbeque Festival event site via Woolomin and Dungowan with a stopover at Chaffey Dam.

Thunder Run

Marshal from 9am, ready for a 10am ride on Sunday 29 September.

Register for the National Thunder Motorcycle Rally to be part of the 50km ride. The ride will head south along the New England Highway, through Loomberah and back to the festival site after a slow ride through Peel Street.
